Affordable Housing
Solving a housing problem requires a multi-tiered approach. We have added hundreds of units to the affordable housing stock, and plan to add a thousand more before we are done. Some home wonership, some rental properties, all safe, well built, energy efficient and affordable for average income individuals and families.
26 Mary Street
Historic Preservation. Building was a women's prison from 1935-1979, then offices until 2020. Now it is 40 rental units of affordable workforce housing.
60 affordable apartments for seniors age 55 and up. Built next door to a local community center for easy access to activities.
35 Single Family Homes. 2-3 bedroom designs, energy efficient, sold below market rate to income qualified buyers, yet still profitable for the developer.
A home is only affordable if it has the right purchase price and low operations cost for the owner.
We diversify our investment portfolios. Why wouldn't we diversify our energy portfolio?
